Op Tracker: a story of innovation sketched on a napkin

The idea of Op Tracker came to be in 2013. Our CEO Kevin Lim sat down with foresters in Northern Ontario. They were discussing the challenges of using a handheld GPS and not having enough information about their machines and field operations – especially in areas where there was no cell coverage. 

Then, Kevin designed on a napkin the idea of Op Tracker. It was the beginning of a telematics solution that changed the forestry industry for good, as it provides operators and forest managers a complete view of their operations. This allows offline communication between “boots on the ground ”teams and management offices—leading to better, more informed business decisions.
