Smart tracking for safe, efficient, and productive forestry operations.

Op Tracker™ is a simple, turnkey GIS solution to help you track harvesting equipment – feller bunchers, forwarders, harvesters, and skidders – in real-time, and use this information to monitor and quantify equipment performance and productivity. In addition, you can avoid trespasses with warnings sent to you well before you’re too close to a boundary.

With the Op Tracker™ on hand, not only will you have a competitive edge in the forest industry, your equipment operators also benefit by having corporate GIS data at their fingertips to enable them to do their work better and faster, while remaining safe and compliant.

How Op Tracker™ benefits you

With Op Tracker™, you can get updates that identify productivity and efficiency of your harvesting equipment. No longer will your forest managers need to estimate where the equipment has been or how productive they were – our app does this for you. In fact, Op Tracker™ empowers you to see how you are doing, so you can get your job done more efficiently.

Through the power of an iOS, Android or Windows tablet and proprietary Lim Geomatics algorithms, Op Tracker™ can report on productive machine hours and a wide range of productivity statistics. For operations that require precise navigation, Op Tracker™ can be paired with an external GNSS device to pinpoint the position of machinery with an accuracy of 50 cm, even while under forest canopy.

Optimized Operations

Track equipment to increase utilization rate and automatically quantify productivity using any tablet. For precise positioning, add an optional external GNSS device. Installation is completed in a matter of minutes without the need for any special tools or integration with machine electronics.

Quick Installation

Built using the latest mobile and GIS technology, and ready for use once you open the box, simply mount the tablet using a set of RAM™ mounts provided, connect an optional GNSS device, and start working. Your day will start with opening Op Tracker™ and clicking ‘track’, and end with closing the mobile app for later synchronization to the cloud – when an internet connection is available.

Work Offline

Take your GIS data to the field for navigation and data collection, and sync up once reconnected to the Internet. Anyone running an Op Tracker™ can sync to the cloud and get the latest harvest status for a block. In forests where there is cellular coverage, foresters in the office can watch harvest operations unfold in real-time from the comfort of their office chair.

Quantify Productivity

Op Tracker™ is a solution that is part of an overall enterprise GIS architecture. By leveraging corporate GIS data, such as area-based LiDAR inventories, to extracting information above and beyond simple productive machine hours, we’re able to calculate true productivity (i.e., m3/ha) demonstrate where you’re losing money based on low productivity and efficiency – ultimately saving you money

Tested, Proven & Rugged

Since its launch in 2014, Op Tracker™ has been in use across North America and we’re proud to say that not one unit has broken yet. In fact, with its adoption and customer satisfaction rating of 100%, we’ve maintained customer retention with all the forest companies who have turned to this solution.
